Ukrainian School Surrey, Guildford - Every Sunday

LOCATION:  THE HIVE, GUILDFORD, GU2 8EN

From the first day of our stay in the United Kingdom, we all understood very well that time would require us to make new decisions and face difficult challenges.  But, as always, our children were, are and will be the first priority.   Thanks to the care of English friends, our children are placed in local educational institutions and are currently adapting to a new life, with new friends.  But we are Ukrainians.  In order to meet the needs of our Ukrainian education and leisure, it is proposed to establish a Ukrainian Saturday School in Guildford.

We are organising a school in which children will be taught in the Ukrainian language according to the programmes recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which are based on the State Education Standards, namely:

  • Ukrainian language and literature
  • History of Ukraine
  • Geography of Ukraine
  • Algebra and geometry

We aim to create an educational environment in which our children grow and develop an awareness of national identity, trust, freedom, equality, and learn to change the world for the better.  In addition, our children will participate in all possible creative activities here in Guildford, representing our culture and national identity.

In order to arrange staffing, we need to have a complete picture of those who wish to attend our school so if  you are interested in your child / children attending, please send an email with details of the child / children (name and age and Ukrainian school class) and your name and contact details to UkSatSchool@gmail.com

We are really pleased to announce that parents will be able to have English lessons whilst their children are in school.

For more information, please contact by phone 07442 092967 Anna Zednyk and/or 07442 484400 Inna Haitan
by email : UkSatSchool@gmail.com
Financing of the school will be organised through assistance form Guildford Borough Council, GUkraine, individual sponsors, and charitable funds. There will be no charges for the classes although we hope that parents may volunteer some time.
