Ballet Classes
FREE BALLET CLASSES FOR UKRAINIAN CHILDREN – 7 LOCATIONS IN GODALMING & SURROUNDING AREAS
Milford and Brooks School of Dance is offering free ballet classes to any Ukrainian child that would like to learn ballet, or has danced previously in Ukraine. There are a huge range of classes for all levels. There is no language barrier in ballet and they have ballet kit available too. Their current families who attend classes will welcome our Ukrainian guests. No fees for those who can’t afford classes is something they offer their current parents so this is what they are offering Ukrainian families to – “Kindness after all costs nothing”. The emotional wellbeing of all their pupils is at the centre of everything they do at their village ballet schools. FREE: Learn How to Play Musical Instruments or be a Cheerleader
Raiders Performing Arts is a marching band that performs at various events. They meet every Wednesday during term time at Hermitage School St John’s, Woking. These classes are FREE to any Ukrainian children wishing to learn a musical instrument or how to cheerlead.
The following instruments are available: BRASS: cornets, trumpets, mellophones, dynabones, tubas, sousaphones; DRUMS: snares, multi Tom’s, bass, cymbals; WOODWIND: saxophones, clarinets; PERCUSSION: glockenspiel, xylophones, marimba;. There are pom poms for cheerleaers too.

Playrangers
Playrangers are free sessions for children to play actively and creatively outdoors. All children are welcome to join (ideal age 5-12 year olds).
There will be activities such as cooking on an open fire, nature crafts, den building, water sliding, games and more.
Children under 8 years old will need to bring a responsible adult. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing for outdoor messy play.
Play Rangers operates in term time from Monday 30 May – Friday 3 June and you can join sessions at any day. They run from 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
These sessions are delivered by Guildford Borough Council.
